Chopping Mall is one of those forgotten classics that you half remember from your childhood. The kind of film you may have seen on Cinemax, or the fragment of a box art stuck in your brain as you ran past the Horror section to reach the latest NES rentals. Wonderful 80s robot design with some decent kills, but unfortunately doesn't aspire to greater heights than teen slasher fare. Probably better seen as a historic footnote to when the Mall featured in its exterior shots (LA's Beverly Center) had rad chunky neon styling along its escalators.
