Stilted dialogue, uncomfortable oddly acted flashbacks, and generally inconsistent, the film finds its stride about 3/4 of the way in and picks up steam like a runaway train. Much has been said about the final scene, chilling, confusing, unreal, and haunting, it ironically works due to the shock combined with a really uncanny mask of the main actress. Yeah, others have done the Camp Slasher story better, and there have been way better kills (save for the curling iron), but can anyone argue that the last scene doesn't stick with you? Watch with friends but make sure you're all sober by the time the finale ramps up.
