A squad of National Guards on an isolated weekend exercise in the Louisiana swamp must fight for their lives when they anger local Cajuns by stealing their canoes. Without live ammunition and in a strange country, their experience begins to mirror the Vietnam experience.

I though it was a mostly good movie depicting a bunch of wanabe grunt having too much fun and testosterone in an environment they dont understand and respect. Most of them arent very likable making some of the deaths less impactful or sometimes deserved. The final 15 min is a real nailbiter that build great tension with its editing, acting and soundtrack.
